Goals

  • Encourage male pickup drivers to buckle up

Strategies

The seatbelt survey data reveals that the least buckled up population is the male pick up drivers. Based on this data cowboys were targeted and then made advocates for seatbelt safety. The participants rode along on state highway displaying signs and flags depicting seatbelt safety slogans, they wore costumes and painted the horses. There was a community wide enthusiasm and prizes were awarded to one adult and one child for best dressed.
