Profile on Julie Hoeckle, Jamestown Safe Communities Task Force
Posted: Nov 23, 2004
Professionally, my background includes serving as the Regional Prevention Coordinator and also previously teaching Family and Consumer Science for 22 years. I graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Home Economics Education.
I got into this position with the Jamestown Safe Community Task Force after becoming the Regional Prevention Coordinator, when I was asked to join. I have been a part of the coalition for about four years now. I didn't know quite what to expect when first joining the coalition, but I now expect the task force to keep public announcements for community safety in the news, to strongly promote no tolerance of drinking and driving, and to promote the use of safety belts. My expectations for other members and myself are to help make decisions, to support the task force coordinator, and to help with projects. My specific areas of interest are the prevention of drinking and driving and increasing the usage of safety belts. The best part of coalition membership, to me, is working with the other task force members. ![[ end of article ]](http://www.safecommunities.org/images/endarticle.gif)
