This coalition focused on Occupant Protection through several projects.

John Gletne of the Jamestown Police Department planned and organized activities for Child Passenger Safety Week and delivered incentives to school programs. The coordinator met with law enforcement about Child Passenger Safety Week activities and distributed material to be used for school activities. Plans continued on incentives for law enforcement to distribute to drivers and occupants wearing their safety belts. The coordinator met with the Jamestown Chief of Police about a February blitz with a safety belt enforcement focus. Dawn Olson contacted the coordinator about activities supporting the 157 grant focus. The safety belt survey was organized with members of the Fraternal Order of Police and the pre-survey was completed. The Fraternal Order of Police also donated 0.00 toward other coalition programs. The Buffalo Mall was contacted to place the "Click It or Ticket" banner in a highly visible area. The coordinator organized law enforcement saturation patrols for February. Plans were made to meet with a representative of the high school newspaper for an article about the winter driving habits of students. This program again received excellent media coverage for their messages.[end of article]
