Bismarck's 2004 Appreciation Breakfast A Success

The Second Annual Appreciation Breakfast was held on February 6, 2004 at the Kelly Inn in to recognize the efforts and achievements of Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters and Community Members working toward creating a safer community.
Law Enforcement Officers Of The Year were Deputy Sharlene Schuh, Burleigh County Sheriff's Department; Detective Troy Schaner, Bismarck Police Department and Officer Dan Poppe, Mandan Police Department.
Fire Fighters Of The Year were fire fighter John Gerding, Mandan Fire Department; Jason Enerson, Mandan Rural Fire Department; Leo Voigt, Bismarck Rural Fire Department and the Bismarck Fire Department.
Car Safety Seat Volunteers and Sponsors that received Appreciation Awards include: Stan Puklich Chevrolet, Bill Barth Ford, Midcontinent Communications and the ND Department of Health.
The ND Department of Transportation also received an Appreciation Award for funding the Safe Communities Program/Capitol City Coalition For A Safe Community.
Capitol City Coalition For A Safe Community Executive Members receiving Appreciation Awards were Douglas Sailer, Juvenile Court; Nikki Willett, Community Action Teen Court Program and Dierdrah Horner, Youthworks.
A big thanks goes to the sponsors that helped make the breakfast a huge success. The sponsors include: Community Action Program Region VII, Inc., Kelly Inn, Minvera's, Bismarck Exchange Club and Premium Beverages.
