The Capitol City Coalition For A Safe Community/Safe Communities Program would like to remind everyone the importance of safety belts/car safety seats and using them every trip, every time.

The Capitol City Coalition For A Safe Community/Safe Communities Program conducts monthly car safety seat check ups. The check ups are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month rotating between Bill Barth Ford and Stan Puklich Chevrolet. 90% of all car safety seats are misused. Could yours be one of them?

Safety belts must be worn with the shoulder belt across the chest and the lap belt portion over the hips. Never put the shoulder belt behind your back or under your arm.

The Safe Communities Program is administered by Community Action Program Region VII, Inc. The agency's mission is to educate and empower people today to improve their lives tomorrow.

Let's make a pledge starting today as North Dakotan's to buckle up - Every Trip - Every Time. You could save your life and the life of a friend or family member by making sure they have their safety belt on. [ end of article ]
