Captain Mike Argall, Cass County Sheriff's Office, was recently named to the North Dakota Department of Transportation's (NDDOT)Traffic Safety Honor Roll. Argall serves as coalition member of the Safe Communities Coalition of the Red River Valley.

Dan Schoonhoven, West Fargo, was named to the North Dakota Department of Tranpsortation (NDDOT) Traffic Safety Honor Roll. As a member of the Safe Communities Coallition of the Red River Valley, Schoonhoven has contributed substantially to efforts in that region.

Todd Otto, Dickinson, was named to the North Dakota Department or Transportation (NDDOT) Traffic Safety Honor Roll. Otto was recognized for his years of dedication to the Southwest Coalition of Safe Communities.

Kimberly Lemieux, Rollette, was named to the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) Traffic Safety Honor Roll. Ms. Lemieux is the Region III Safe Communities Coordinator.

Sheriff Clarence Tuhy has been a member of the Southwest Coalition of Safe Communities since it began in the late 1980s.  Of course, back then, he was Officer Clarence Tuhy and the coalition was known as the Traffic Safety Council. 

David Wallace has 14 years experience in emergency medical services (EMS) and 26 years experience in law enforcement.  He is a lieutenant with the Dickinson Police Department, where he is a Patrol Division Commander and the Project Coordinator for Badlands Crimestoppers and Community Programs.

I have been a police officer for twenty years.  During that time, I have addressed many safety issues that are vital to duty assignments.  For the past two years, I have been assigned to the Crime Prevention Unit, and have attended many civic and social activities.  My duties as a Crime Prevention Officer include participation on the Mayor's Council for a Safe Community. 

Scott McKirdy, pastor of the United Methodist Church, has a lot of volunteer experience from his ministry with youth and families.  Because of this, when he was asked to join the Southwest Coalition of Safe Communities as a church representative, he was fully prepared to take on this new challenge.  Pastor McKirdy's undergraduate and seminary experience also helped prepare him for his work with the coalition.

Shannon Carnahan was formerly an on-air news reporter for NBC in Williston, North Dakota.  Working as a reporter, Ms. Carnahan met daily with individuals from many different organizations in the community such as fire fighters, police officers, and sheriffs.  These individuals taught her the importance of giving back.

Aaron Berg has been a member of the Head of the Red Safe Communities Coalition (HRSCC) since its inception in 2005.  When HRSCC was still in its planning stages, Berg received a letter requesting his attendance and participation in the planning meeting.  He says, "I expected to assist with the initial organization of the coalition and chair a sub-committee for couple of years."  Over the past three years, Berg has held a variety of executive and sub-committee positions, and he is now the coalition Chairperson.
