National Night Out is a unique crime, violence, and drug abuse prevention event to promote community spirit, while forming community/law enforcement, military, and first responder partnerships that help make our community a safe place to live. National Night Out is a symbolic, nationwide crime, violence, and drug prevention event that reflects the day in and day out cooperation of our citizens and law enforcement, first responders, and military knowing that a strong, cooperative community is the cornerstone of crime prevention efforts.
National Night Out is a family event in which the public has the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the people, who at times, risk their lives to protect our community and its citizens. It is an occasion providing educational opportunities. Families attending National Night Out have the opportunity to learn about the different services our community offers, where to go when they need assistance, and being able to have their questions answered by specialists, all in an open, friendly, and fun-filled atmosphere.
