Profile Kristi Engelstad: Member of Safe Communities Coalition of the Red River Valley
Published  02/4/2008 | Traffic Safety Partners |
Kristi really enjoys working with the coalition.

Kristi is happily married to Jeremy Engelstad; together they have a beautiful nine-month-old son, Brody.  She enjoys spending time with them and her other family members.  She also enjoys going to the lake in the summer and ice fishing on it in the winter.  Kristi is an instructor and works in public relations at F-M Ambulance Service and has for seven years.  She does a lot of public speaking to groups about safety, which often includes talking about drunk drivers.  It was during this time that she found out about the Safe Communities Coalition of the Red River Valley and took over as a representative from F-M Ambulance.

Kristi didn’t know what to expect upon joining the coalition, but she was happy to find that her coalition is made up of so many people and employers in her community that are willing to work together for a safe community.  She has been a coalition member for three years now, and is currently on the chair of the executive committee for the coalition.

Kristi really enjoys working with the coalition.  There are challenges, such has coming up with new ideas, but Kristi finds it is rewarding to work with people and to reward people who work so hard to help keep people in her area safe.  She hopes to help keep the coalition growing and moving forward as much as it has in the past few years.
