Kim Schalesky: Southwest Coalition of Safe Communities Member
Published  06/26/2007 | Traffic Safety Partners |
Kim is greatly interested in child passenger safety.

Kim Schalesky is a graduate of the North Dakota State College of Science where she received an associate’s degree in word processing.  Currently, she serves as the Business Health Coordinator at West River Health Services in Hettinger.  She has been a member of the Southwest Coalition of Safe Communities since January 2007.  Her interest in joining the coalition is a result of working with community programs.  She finds it to be a “perfect fit!”  As a new member, she is looking forward to understanding the goals of the Southwest Coalition of Safe Communities.

In her current position at West River Health Services, she works with community members to provide a host of resources and referrals.  These resources and referrals encompass child passenger safety and alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.  One area she spoke of with great interest is child passenger safety.  As the Community Resource Coordinator, she works with low-income families to provide them with approved child safety seats.  In addition, she reaches out to parents and caregivers to provide them with the latest consumer-friendly information to help ensure the children in their care ride in the proper child restraint system.  [ end of article ]
