Car Seat Safety Check Scheduled At Dickinson McDonalds
Published  05/14/2005 | Traffic Safety News |
This is one of many activities planned during the month of May
A Car Seat Safety check has been scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2005 from 10:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Dickinson, N.D. McDonald’s Restaurant. The SWCSC, State farm Insurance, Southwest District health Unit and local Law Engorcement officers recently pulled together a team to host this event. Recently, our legislatures passed a bill changing the law that all youth up to age six must be in a car seat or a booster seat. This law will go into effect on August 1, 2005.

The Coalition will have car seats at the safety check for purchase at a suggested donation of $20 per seat. The money will be used to purchase additional car seats for future car seat checks. This activity is part of the May Mobilization - Heaven Can Wait – Buckle Up activities planned across the region as is funded in part by the North Dakota Department of Transportation and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. If you have any questions regarding the car seat safety check, call Becky or Tammy at 701-227-0131.[ end of article ]
